Climbing Equipment, Fall Protection & Hoisting course

This course is intended for everyone who is in charge of inspecting

  • Ladders, Stairs and Mobile Scaffolding according to NEN 2484 & NEN 1004.
  • Lifting chains, steel cables, lifting belts in accordance with the NEN 818 standard.
  • Personal fall protection: harness belts according to EN 361 and fall protection systems according to EN 363.

After successfully completing this course, the student may also carry out these inspections for third parties.

The following topics will be covered in the training for judges:

Day part 1 (NEN 2484 & NEN 1004):

  • Background inspections;
  • Legislation, occupational health and safety law and product liability;
  • Standards;
  • Types of ladders, stairs and mobile scaffolding;
  • Material types;
  • Constructive insight;
  • Conducting inspections;
  • Application checklists.

Day part 2 (NEN 818, EN 361/363):

  • Background inspections;
  • Legislation, occupational health and safety law and product liability;
  • Interpretation of the standards:
  • Types of lifting equipment and fall protection;
  • Material types;
  • Constructive insight;
  • Conducting inspections;
  • rejection criteria;
  • Application checklists.

Trainer

The course is provided by a trainer from Arbo Opleidingsinstituut Nederland, the AOIN, under the direct responsibility of the training coordinator and the management of the AOIN.

Certificate

The AOIN course is concluded with a valid personal certificate.
